How We Got Started
Believe it or not, The Weather Pros actually started by accident. Liveweatherblogs.com was a highly trafficked website created by Rob Guariano back in 2009. Rob was known on Philly TV for his easy-to-understand weather blogs. The website grew in popularity not only with the general public but also in an industry that was unknown to Rob.
Liveweatherblogs was getting over 5 million views a month in the Philly metro area before crashing frequently due to heavy user traffic. Rob continuously added more resources but could not keep up with the high demand. Then, out of the blue, he received a text from a snow plow company during a snowstorm in January 2015.
The plow owner asked, "Hey, we use your blogs to make key decisions with our crews. We tried to get into your site but it’s just too busy. Can you text or email us the weather instead?"
Rob started getting more calls from the snow plow industry expressing the same interest.
As requested, Rob began texting weather forecasts to the snow plow industry. What started out as just 15 clients in 2015, has now led to over 600 clients around the United States.
The product has changed over the years but 3 things have remained the same. Timely forecasts, easy-to-read maps, and 24/7 on-call service.
Many of the charter members back in 2015 are still clients today and we’ll never forget how we got started.

The Weather Pros is a weather consulting company that services the snow plow industry, landscapers, roofers, department of public works, townships, school districts, college ground crews, property management groups, and construction companies. Our mission is to deliver concise and trustworthy forecasts right to your cell phone. It is our duty to serve you!
